French wants

Work is now beginning on the French lights, but before we settle the final designs we would really like to know what you guys would like to see. Do you want full dress, campaign, shako covers on or off etc? How about a greatcoated version as well?

We are even working on providing transfers for British water bottles and back packs, I hate painting that arrow and regimental number!!

Like to see a mix in campaign dress and waistcoats. Looking to use them in skirmish games.

Like to see a mix of campaign dress and waistcoat as I would be using them for skirmish games.

I prefer my figures without shako covers.

I would also be very interested in dismounted cavalry figures - either for when their horses get shot out from underneath them, or for a truly flexible skirmish game.

I prefer full dress shako covers off - simply because these uniforms are half of the fun of the napoleonic period.

Dismounted cavalry would also be great for skirmish games

Deffo Skirmish order Paul, Waistcoats, Shako Covers etc, poses similar to the Rifles would be good.

Definitely hope for a mix of habite-veste, Spanish cloth trousers, espadrilles, Shako covers etc.

The Peninsular was defined by he campaign look and in particular some items specific to the theatre.

I think I would go with what Sahib and Frank said.

There are a lot of really good French illustrated in the Bueno uniform books.

My view would be that these are going to be peninsular french so go for that particular look.

As a general point I much prefer skirmish order figures. I hate all the work of painting packs overcoats and all useless impedimenta that they would have dropped before going into actiion anyway.

Having said all of that I will be happy with whatever comes along just so long as you keep the heads the right size.
