Hi Paul,

Very nice work on the French Legere.

Did you paint these? Are they Vellejo colours?

Looking forward to seeing the photos of the latest additions when you can.

I'll be purchasing my Albans from Dave at Caliver Books as I've been a customer of his for a long time.

Chow,

Helen

Hi Helen,

Yes my stab at painting these, combination of Vallejo, Foundry and various washes including the new GW Ogryn Flesh.

Don't believe everything Dave says about me though!

Hi Paul,

Thanks for the reply. I also meant to say great base work!

My bases a very boring, but if you have tips that would be good.

Dave actually said "you are a swell guy."

Chow,

Helen

Helen,

Right the bases: Paint around the figure with PVA glue mixed with chocolate brown paint. Dip into light sand and add suitable small stones for taste. Let this dry. Us a brown ink and apply to base, this will suck up the ink and flow around the base. let this dry. Highlight in Vallejo Ochre, then light sand. Add grass. This method is especially good for multiple figure bases.

Cheers,

Paul
