French available for pre-order

Griffin are now completing the final production moulds for the French legere. They should be ready for this week coming. To save a bit of time we are going to release the first 2 packs. That is firing and loading then advancing. At the same time the line voltigeurs are now being completed. Command for both sets will follow ASAP.

The first of the British line are now being worked on by Richard. Line light company skirmishing. This is a bit of a change of plan, but it does allow the maximum number of troops to get out quickly. But the releases are meant to complement the "Sharp Practice" rules and the "Complete Fondler" scenario books from Too Fatlardies.

Legere voltigeurs are available for pre-order at the moment.

Hi Paul,

A very sensible decision if I may say so, as I couldn't understand why you had figures cast and not get them out there for sale.

People can't paint everything at once and can be getting on with the rank and file while you do the command conversions.

I don't think it's a good idea to cast stuff up and not release it, as if you wait for all components, you are denying yourself sales in the meantime. Release and be damned I say :-)

Wel done.

Hi Frank,

Griffin are just finishing off the production mould. So I should have some by Monday I hope. What is really frustrating is that it's proving very hard to get decent photos that do Richards sculpts proper justice. Bloody bayonets keeping sticking off shot!!

Meanwhile Richard is working on the line voltigeurs and British Line light company. These chaps will have the folding canvas pack that was painted the regimental facing colour. They will also have the buttoned woolen overall circa 1809- 1812.
